June 2010
Wow, this year
seemed to fly by, and looking at the above calendar of
events, June will be a busy month! “Just Scoop It” is
coming to a close and the staff is barely in the lead by
about 1,300 pages. As much as I do not want to get a pie
in the face, please encourage your students to regain
the lead by reading more. The field day for “Just Scoop
It” will be a wonderful culmination of all their hard
work and dedication to reading.
As the summer weather welcomes us and students are
riding their bikes to school, please be sure your child
wears a bike helmet. The New York State law mandates all
children under the age of 14 wear bike helmets. Also,
please take a moment to read through the sex offender
relocation alerts provided on the back side of this
newsletter. Please know that the safety of your child
is our main priority here at Pleasant Ave.
I would like to thank all of our staff members and
parents for being so supportive and working so hard to
ensure the students at Pleasant Ave. had a successful
year. We could not have done it without the hard work
of so many. Let’s continue to support our students and
end the year on a positive note!
Mr. Jeffrey Vivenzio,
Pleasant Avenue Principal
